Perhaps you meant 2.10, 2.11, 2.12... 2.89, 2.90, 2.91, 2.92, 2.93, ...

Well yeah, something like that. Maybe we should be working on our mods instead of commenting on CK Guy's version number system :D

By convention, origional release is 1.0, any major modifications and fixes require an increase of .1 (1.1, 1.2...) total reworking or extremely major changes require an increase of 1 (1.0, 2.0...) and minor changes require an increase of .01 (1.2, 1.21, etc) There is room for confusion between say, version 1.31, is it a 31st major change, or 3rd major change with 1 minor fix? But it's pretty obvious which is the case in most cases.

So we'd be aiming for 2.10, 2.11, etc and yes 2.111 would be a valid version number too. (I personally think the last one should've been a 2.42 instead of moving up a version.)

So, 2.1 < 2.11 < 2.2 < 2.25 < 2.9 ???
In some free software (i.e. Linux Kernel), it'd be:
2.1 < 2.2 < 2.9 < 2.11 < 2.25
Or maybe:
2.1 < 2.1.1 < 2.2 < 2.2.5 < 2.9

*sigh* So after 2.9 I am planning on going to 2.10 ... because that matters a lot. Anyway, I've made a few changes so far for version 2.6 - that'll probably be out in a few days.

Another very common convention (which I prefer) uses three numbers, e.g. 2.13.25. In this notation the first number is incremented for major upgrades, the second for minor changes (e.g. adding a couple of extra features), and the third for bugfixes.

It's almost the same convention used by the Linux Kernel. :p
An interesting fact is that they use even numbers for the minor version number wehn it's released for normal users (stable releases), and odd numbers when it's only intended for developers, advanced users and bug reporters (development or unstable releases). For example: 2.6 is the current stable branch, while 2.5 is the current development branch.
Note that this only affects the minor version number (number y in the expression "version x.y.z").

Personally, I'll use this convention in my programs. ;)

Would it be possible to add a box to the bitmap selection window so you can see which tile is active?

That would be helpful, indeed.

Again, it would mimic 1-3 tileinfo. Wise indeed was its compiler.

Okay, here's version 2.6. Again, there's just some small changes to it. I'll work on having a box showing the selected tile for the next release. (I already had this one all put together when I read that post.)

[note to admins - the name of the program is actually Ck456Tli with a lowercase k. Could someone change this forum's name?]

It's easier (And more likely) that *you* change your program's name, after all, it's only a lousy k.
