Excelent. Works on Linux too (using Wine).
So, there are some tile property codes that you still don't know what they do. How can I experiment? Writing directly to the tli file? Where?

EDIT:
Almost forgot. Why my SHIKADI4.TLI files crashes Keen4 as soon as it enters a level? I patched in it according to the instructions you left in the README.HTM.
(DISCLAIMER: that tli file was generated using CK456TLI 3.0 under WinXP)

Ooh, suggestion time! :D

Can we have a few hotkey presets for tileinfo? Maybe customizable ones? Often when I'm editing a new tileset, I lay things out very differently than the default--and changing each thing one by one is slow. It's useful when I want to toy with specifics, sure, but if I could just click on a tile, press "F6" to set up a user-defined set of properties, that'd be spectacular.

Even if it was something as basic as "Pressing Shift-F6 copies the selected tile's info to the clipboard, and pressing F6 after that will update the selected tile with the stored info" it would make things really fast. :)

I agree, that would truly be awesome, or at least a 'clear tileset' button or something, so I wouldn't have to keep resetting all those annoying animation and blocking properties.

Also, a way to edit multiple tiles at once with the same values would be cool.

Sorry, I don't know ...

Oh, and as for a tile property copy/paste thing, that shouldn't be so hard. (I had just implemented a couple of things, and was going to release version 3.1 like tomorrow, but I'll see what I can do with this feature suggestion.)

Well, good to see you again anyway (thinks about M$ Tech Support level).
Strange...

At least try to help me, please :)

Is this code right for patching the Keen4 tileinfo:

Code: Select all

#Write custom CK4 TileInfo:
patchfile $249C2 shikadi4.tli

Version 3.1 is ready!!

New features:

- control-drag to scroll for those of you without a mouse wheel
- specify animation tile by right clicking
- specify animation timing with scrollbar
- copy tile properties with F11
- paste tile properties with F12

As for ShadowMaster's problem - are you sure that you are using version 1.4, not 1.4GT (Goodtimes Software)? EDIT: Also, you could try using the original Keen4.tli provided with the program, and seeing what happens. If it doesn't work, try downloading Keen 4 version 1.4 from Beyond the Pogo.

It's Apogee's version 1.4. Well, I'm gonna give it a try with the default tli file.
Thanks for the new version. :)

It was hard to find.

Hmmmn, CKT won't let me click on tiles on the leftmost half of the tileset for some reason, any idea why?

Yah, bug. I'll fix that soon. I actually fixed that a while ago, but haven't bothered to make version 3.2 (lazy).

Excellent, I was afraid it was some sort of obscure Windows setting thing that was incurable.
