Because of recent Windows Updates, the older versions of ModKeen don't work in vanilla Windows. They give a General Protection Fault. By compiling them as 32-bit executables, Windows will actually allow them to run.

You can still use the old DOS version with DOSBox, but you'll have to download a seperate, external file of some sort in order to get it working. Without this, I wouldn't be able to Keenmod!

How odd; modkeen works fine for me with dosbox; perhaps I'm too stupid to know how to fail.

I wonder if LModKeen 2 could be considered the latest Win32 port of ModKeen.
Note that ModKeen has always been a 32-bit application, since it uses DOS 32-bit protected mode interfaces, so I guess the title of this topic meant "32-bit Windows" ModKeen.

Calm the heck down. Look for LModKeen if you want a regular Windows version, regular ModKeen works fine through DOSBox, and KeenGraph through DOSBox is basically required for any of the more advanced patches.
