AdLib Sounds

Post by Wodd » Tue Nov 20, 2018 5:35 pm

Has anyone extracted the individual original AdLib sound effects from this game? Those are the only sounds that I am missing to complete the official (unmodified) sound effect set for the original series, excluding those from the game released on the Game Boy Color. Levellass helped me with the sounds for the other episodes and Malvineous offered a file containing the AdLib sounds for Keen Dreams. But, I don't know of a tool that will split the file properly. Perhaps someone has extracted the individual files and uploaded them somewhere. All help is appreciated.

You don't want to use Audacity to copy and paste them into separate files? Not ideal but possibly the quickest solution.

I do not even need Audacity to clip out the individual sounds. I have already done that once with the sounds from One Must Fall: 2097 and it was definitely tedious. But, if you know the length and sample rate (frequency) of each sound (improbable case), then I can go from there to extracting each file. The extraction is not the hard part. The hard part is actually 2 of them. They are: 1) getting the correct length for the audio sample. 2) getting the correct playback frequency for the audio sample. The extraction of the individual files is the least of my worries for this. But, thanks for the information, Malvineous. Today is the first day in a long time that I looked at this thread because it hadn’t been active for a long time. As it stands, your post was submitted almost a month after the preceding post. But, again, thanks for the information. I will have to redownload the file, as I removed it from my computer. But, as long as you haven’t removed it or it hasn’t expired, that should not be an issue.
