Keen 3 goodbye screen

Post by levellord »

That screen right at the end, after you've quit; the ANSI one; does anyone know where it is? I thinbk its at the end of the EGALATCH file; but I'd like some exact offsets, if thats at all possible.

Thanks.

Ah, I didn't understand what LL meant until now.. :P

That screen is stored inside the exe, starting at $12AC7.

*slaps self*

I'll be dammned! *makes notes* Thanks KR!

Err, actually, its C6, not C7 KR, just thought you might want to know. Oooh! And it reads like a text file! This *will* be fun!

I've also found that Keen 3 *does* have code to read external text files, but its not referenced, perhaps this will produce something; we will see.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing..

Ah, ok. I just took the value from my KSCREEN readme. Seems I've long ago placed a wrong value (luckily only by one!) there.. Have to fix the readme, and perhaps should rewrite a better program sometime..

I have looked at this program and I do not understand it at all. It seems far easier to do it manually, which I shall do. It can't take too long! Its only 4'000 characters! If you make a program that lets you type, then select color, dear lord its done in half an hour [Writing the QBasic program took longer]

Haha, yeah, can't say this program is top-notch at usability.

And this program was made in Visual Basic, just to note.. In Q-Basic I would've got a lot better usability and got it a lot easier to use. Haha. :D Maybe I should rewrite it some day.
