Keen: Modding

This little topic is just to inform those that, if there is a patch you'd like, or if you want to browze all of the Keen patches without opening all those topics, or you don't know where a patch is, whatever...

Make an index.

It needs a table of contents, and index, and better discriptions. It's hard to tell exactly what each patch does.

My first response was hasty and unclear. What I meant was an index for the index. Like the index to an encyclopedia. Or a book. Or a dictionary...

Hmmm, could you give me an idea of what entry this index would have for say, andy's doors on map patch?

Better descriptions? I will work on this, possibly when making the index.

Here's a suggestion for when LL gets back. The section on the flag patch is too general. It didn't specify that you use the blocking sprite for the level entrance over the regular sprite when working with the entrance. (2* to block the outside of level 2) It might be a good idea to add this. I was stuck trying to figure this out for about an hour, until I thought to run a search of the site.

What's the difference between the two stunned actions?

The second one is the Yorp's action after being stood on whilst walking; after Keen jumps on it, it is stunned. The first one is if the Yorp is already stunned and it ensures nothing happens. You'll notice that if the first one is given a new behaviour such as 'Yorp walk' Keen will be pushed about by the stunned Yorp as it constantly interacts with him, over and ver and over. (This may be useful to you, or not.)

Does anyone know of someplace I can upload the patch index to? Me and Levellord have decided we hate where it is now because the site-host thingy doesn't let you do anything easily.
