Code: Select all

%ext ck1
%version 1.31

%patch $26A $06

%end

Interesting patch: lower number makes game smoother, faster makes it more choppy. Has some side effects on game play.

So then... when would you recommend this be used?

If you want a smoother mod, and you're willing to tweak all the jump heights/speeds for your mod.

Aaah yes, jump speeds. They *would* be affected. I can't say I've ever had a choppy mod though, does anyone know of one I can look at? maybe my computer is better than average or something.

After testing this patch for some time, I've reached a conclusion:
1. This patch is awesome.
2. This patch IS awesome.
3. What it does is smoothen up the entire game. It just feels like Commander Genius or a HFR movie (but in this case it's actually beneficial!). The jump speeds/heights are somewhat higher but that can be tweaked.
4. Setting this to a value lower than $05 seems to cause the screen to occasionally flash with gibberish. No idea what causes that but heck, even $05 is a huge difference. I can only recommend this patch. Feels like an entirely new game.
