Return of the Gaurdians

Post by Ceilick » Tue Mar 08, 2005 4:12 am

Ive finnished the final episode for the Decree of the Skree series. Ive mailed it to several people asking to provide a download, but i dont know if they got it. I sent it to Keenrush, Commander Spleen, and Xtraverse.

Anyway, this is a keen 3 mod, im not great at patching though i found keen 3 was easier to patch than keen 2. As soon as someone can provide a download, tell me what you think :)

My first impression is pretty good--I like Ceilick's work a lot. The biggest thing that bugged me about this one was the dodgy hit detection on the jump frame of the main Skree enemies... I felt like I was unfairly killed by the air under their forelegs a few times. Other than that, my hatred for Vortininjas remains hot--but you at least made them look like creepy spider things. Lots of cool enemies in this one, I bet KeenRush will love the Vortikid replacement. :-)

I only played 2 levels, but I liked what I saw. Will play more if I can find time--I've really gotta stress to get my 1levMod finished by 3/14...

I loove the vortninja's, and your hit detection rocks!

Nice background too.

because im really impatient :)

Also, ive been working on it for a while and got really bored with it, so i just finnished what hadnt been done real quick. The non-3dish look just isnt my style anymore, after working on projects like perilous pursuit and oracle janitor.

Glad you guys like it so far.

Ah, just got playing!! :D AWESOME STUFF once again! ::drool::
Yeah, I really like the gargs, they are so cool!

Very good job. Still haven't finished it, since I just started.. I like the vortininja replacements, nice.

And can't wait to see your 3/14 mod Xky. You will finish it on time. You will finish it on time. You will finish it on time... ::hypnomort::

And as for my 3/14 mod -- you won't be seeing anything, since I've begun and stopped a lot stuff, and therefore haven't progressed much at all on some single one. Sorry. :(

Heh, cool work again :) ! The enemies are really good (i've played just some levels). Nothing against this mod, but i like the 3d-ish style much more. (Maybe because i grew up with keen 4...)

Very cool mod. I loved the mario style one way up terain, you know the purple striped stuff. Especially with those vortininjas it made for great gameplay. It was also very fun exploring the skree's houses and using the public transport.
This whole mod kinda reminded me of the original keen3 with the small buildings, the outdoors and the different types of levels.
Those gargs where really cool as well as the garg-shaped mountains they live in.

nice work

Im sorry to hear that. I really liked your skree series, especially ep1, but perilious persuit, I think it sucked.
