Silcar 3: The Evil that meets the Eye

Post by Tulip »

I now finished my first level so:

Tadaaa...

I proudly present you the first glimpse of what Silcar 3 will look like.

Feel free to post comments...

And the sad news is: I will still need some time with this mod, so don't expect it to be finished in the next two weeks like last time.

I really like the graphical style, it seems to be improving with each of your mods. This level looks good so far. It reminds of Miragia. Also, the creatures look very nice (especially the large yellow monster in the corner of the screenshot). I'm definitely looking forward to when you release this.

Whoa, you're getting good. Fast. I've never seen such output and improvement in a Keener, I'm really looking forward to this. Amazing stuff.

Agree what has been said. Garg, you're a machine! This looks just awesome! You talk about weeks, others talk about months and years!

The colo(u)r scheme looks great.
I also like the look of the ground tiles, as well as those twisty columns.

The release of Silcar 3 is nigh!

So I decided to post an update to my previous mods, with some minor bugs fixed, and some little changes made.
See the respective threads.

Silcar 3 only needs two levels more, which I'll be doing the next days,
and then I got Karz on beta-testing it.
As soon as he's finished it'll be released.

I'm really impressed. You are officially 15x better than me at graphics!

Indeed, and a fast worker too, we may be looking at Xky's successor here.

I want to see his Keen sprite first. ;)

Edit: Aw, heck--give him the title. He's earned it. Hahaha

I'm flattered by all this but I think Xky was right first, I'm not his successor.

1. We don't want him to resign from modding, do we?

2. I'm merely good at combining graphics I find elswhere. As far as I know Xky is creating all his graphics himself. I only create my monsters 100% myself, the tileset has always some borrowed graphics.

3. Here's my new mod, so you can test what you really think of it...

Thanks to Karz this should now be fairly bug free.

Have fun!

tryed it , completed it , liked it
very nice mod , but to get to the end , i had to cheat
maybe its just me , but i think that on level 5 , the pit needs to be non-bottomless , even with the ankh , you fall in

for the rest : i like it 110%
keep up to good work and start with silcar 4

Thanks, you might be happy to hear that Silcar 4 already has a half done tileset, and a half done first level.

There is no problem with level 5, you pick one ankh, fly over, pick the ankh on the other side an fly back, and then pick the other ankh and fly over again. It's as simple as that.

Why'd you have to cheat in the end? I think it's not as hard as the original mangling machine level.

I'm happy you liked it.
