Hi

Post by Bitemaster »

This is Bitemaster. I'm a retro computing kind of guy :) I'm looking to make a total conversion with the Keen 1 engine and will perhaps do mods with other engines as well.

These tools are awesome, I tinkered with Hexadecimal to edit some EXEs before but never imagined you'd be able to get the control you're having with CKPatch these days. :D

Seems an awesome community, you're some pretty clever folk!

Welcome. Looking forward to seeing your work.

There are a lot of amazing patches available for Keen 1, so it's become extremely versatile and relatively simple to modify. It remains my favourite episode for modding, and even after more than a decade and hundreds of releases there is still so much potential left unexplored.

Noted, troublesomekeen! Thanks. I'm not sure I want to do a Keen 1 mod right now, the Keen Source Mod looks mighty tempting... *rubs hands*

What we need to do is release the community mod, it has languished too long.

A lot's been done with it, and I'm quite sure a determined modder could complete it alone, but I'm not sure of the current status of things.
