The Fleexian Hard/Long Scale (FHLS)

Post by Fleexy »

What do think of this?

I have developed a new level rating system. It scales the balance between difficulty and length. Numbers 1-5 are used. A 3 indicates a perfect balance, >3 indicates too long for the hazards, and <3 indicates too many dangers in one space. Here's an example:

I'll give my opinion on level 1 of Episode Smile:
I think this gets 2.5. It's a little hard for being reasonably short. I think blue spinning things EVERYWHERE in the first level is a little tricky. :) I do like the length of it though. :D

So, you know what I mean. :)

I don't quite get what you're doing. A huge level always gets a 5 except when it's full of hazards or what?

While you're rating, I'd like you rate whole mods over at my community difficulty rating over at PCKF.

What we have here is an attempt to produce a community standard, something along the lines of a 'hazard density' an example scale as I see it would be like:

1: Everything trying to kill you. (KeenRush)
2.) A bit dangerous
3.) Perfect
4.) A bit empty.
5.) Zzzzzz... so dull...
