I've started to get down and dirty with patching the Berkaloid when lo and behold there isnt any page about patching the berkaloid in the patching wiki on shikadi.net. i only have a tiny bit of berk patching from these forums. do you (or anyone else?) have any other berk patch code at hand? PS is this 'effect' actually some sort of error? i had that feeling about it, partially cause the original keen games never used it (i dont think). also would you know if it takes more memory using it, by any chance?

hey btw i found out the problem was an unending animation loop on a tile :p so its all taken care of and we can all sleep easily again. but i dont get why it didnt throw up the 'undending foreground animation' error message in dos like it usually does.

You guys know what im referring to, right? that whole thing about making certain parts of a tile's mask white while giving it colour in its pic, thus creating a 'tint' in the game. well i was just wondering if there was any way to change how certain colours interact with certain background colours. ...

This is why it is important to regularly test your levels, not just complete the whole thing then test it. It helps in pinpointing bugs. yeah thats what i do :p it was pretty much done but then in the end i added some new graphics and things and then it just didnt work. then i took those new graphi...

So I've been tinkering around with this one level that just doesnt load. it used to, though. when i get into the level now, its just black but I can hear the music, and i can't do anything. now i know its usually memory problems. i've had this error before with levels and i had to cut back on tiles ...

As a bonus incentive, TOM has a Keen:Next mode (found in the settings menu) that you might like.
