Here's a sample page on the ModdingWiki taking advantage of <patch>, along with the "title" attribute being used: http://www.shikadi.net/moddingwiki/Patch:Bio_Menace/Health_points If someone is interested, here's a similar usage of <patch> on the KeenWiki: http://www.shikadi.net/keenwiki/P...

Well, that utility could be quite useful for the ones who wouldn't get into manually finding and patching some text in an EXE file (also considering the header size); Or at least for someone who's new to modding the relevant game. So, I think it'd make sense to provide a link to the utility on the W...

How have I not thought of putting the game name in brackets :o As for the utility, I guess you refer to something which is very specific to the sprite patches (and not ckpatch)? If yes, then I don't see a problem with having a link to it as a part of the tutorial itself; To compare, there are links ...

I've just went over the BM patches and seen the updates. Thanks for adding the <patch> and Patch namespace! Same goes to the updates of existing pages and categories, of course. Now, in more details, the patches themselves are better organized now. Truly, I've had a little idea when to comes to cate...

I see that we'd have a template for all games linking to the respective patches, then. (Maybe Commander Keen can be an exception, linking to KeenWiki? A bit problematic to implement though.) Also, I guess that the "patch" tag can be used temporarily, at least if the "source" tag ...

Well, I've realized that the post may be a bit long. So I've just done what may seem worse than double-posting: Split the post! :) Second portion of original post: Now it might be a bit off-topic (this is still a KeenWiki thread, not ModdingWiki), but the format of the patches on the ModdingWiki is ...

Just seen the relevant page (currently "Patch:Vorticons 2") on the KeenWiki. I remember trying out the 640x400 patch :) Back to a little different topic, I've now got a few more Bio Menace patches uploaded. I've also decided it's time to relocate all BM patches to the ModdingWiki; As if on...

For reasons of simplicity, I based the little update on the extended CKPatch, v0.9.0, as originally modified by Shadow Master long ago. Does the version with Keen Dreams support also has the support for Bio Menace? If yes then I've missed it, indeed. Now when I think about it, it could be useful to ...

Unfortunately, I haven't added any more than the following: The ability to patch BM1 as coming with the shareware release (v1.1), and support for compressed Bio Menace executables (at least as originally distributed by Apogee/3DR). In the case of BM1, you can tell BM1PATCH to apply patches for a spe...

Looks like some thought may be needed for re-structuring the patches, if one wants to add games other than Keen. I see why it'd make sense for BM patches to go anywhere other than the KeenWiki: The one who seeks such a patch is interested in patching a non-Keen game! As for now, though, I'm not sure...

So, I've got a "little" reason to bump this thread after almost 4 years, and, apparently, the whole "CKPatch" forum after more than a whole year :o I've done very(!) basic changes for Bio Menace support in the extended version of CKPatch. It should now accept BMENACE1.EXE as comi...

Hi all, The two Wikis are very useful resources of information when it comes to stuff like MODding and creating new programs (e.g. level editors). Good job to anybody involved! Now, I'd just like to ask the following, which appears to be relevant to the current discussion about re-arrangement of Kee...

It would probably help if you could get the source code. This is so true... so true... or at least, as long is the source isn't basically a direct translation of ASM code to C. (I can post a list of basic sprite patches for all 3 episodes next week sometime if you're interested in what that will al...

First of all, thanks for replying! The problem here is that there's been very little research into Biomenace, patch-wise, it could take months to work through all of these. Well, considering the fact there's much less interest in Bio Menace than in Commander Keen, this is quite expected. Also adding...

Patches for Bio Menace 1

Hey there! So, I realize it may be a challenge even for the ones experienced with patching but... it'd be nice if any of the following could be done, for Bio Menace 1. I've posted in the Galaxy section within these forums because, of course, Bio Menace takes advantage of the Galaxy engine, and is ve...
