Yeah, I have to agree, scrubs can be great fun. Unfortunately, I find that the infrastructure required to support them is too space-consuming or convoluted for my already space-consuming and convoluted levels, and so I ususally end up just replacing them with bridge and/or key mazes. Ah, well. I thi...

But, as genius314 said, you have to be sure to add two to all values derived from DOS Keenwright. This has to do with a poorly-thought-out feature that starts counting tiles at the edge of the visible level, rather than the physical level (which has a two-tile border). Xky says: "I edited the p...

That probably has something to do with the way Keen calculates clipping. I'm no expert, but you're problem seems to be that Keen is hardcoded to calculate clipping for butler bots based on the original (hard-coded) butler bot speed. Either that, or you changed the size of the clipping rectangle from...

No, I did mean "trying not," for the reason that Xky just articulated.

And if this is a mod, and Keen is not swimming, than I can see how maybe not having him swim everywhere could make more sense.

I use 'em whenever I can't fit a 4-fram animation, or for blinking exit signs. But even the exit signs could be improved with an extra two frames. =)

Grrr, it's only because it appeared in a light post... my monitor washes out light colors. I can see (and even read) text in the dark posts, but the light posts... </pointless rant> And I personally think that using mort clones, androids, whatever, works best if they're very obviously not mort himse...

At risk of stating the obvious, Keenrush, I'm going to ask what you meant to say when you posted in stolid silence.

I'm trying not to be the grammar police here, but I think you meant that it would make more sense, that is, it is capable of making more sense now, but certain conditions (that is to say, the creation of this patch) haven't been met. Will make more sense means that it doesn't make more sense now (wi...

Sure they did---weren't they following the orders of the "gannelech?" And in any case, there's no reason for Mort clones to even be of above-average intelligence. Genetics has a certain effect on intelligence, but so does environment, and without mort's experience of being repeatedly dropp...

I do that from time to time, then tear apart my levels trying to figure out what the fucl went wrong. Then it hits me: Duh, I did it again! I usually also end up having to completely remake my tileinfo---very annoying.

I reccomend KeenWright (Windoze) for resizing levels, or at the very least use the very first DOS Keenwright, by Jeremy Haubold, which you'll find somewhere on Beyond The Pogo's download page. With all due respect to xtraverse, though iKeen is (in theory) a great app, it's also really unstable.

A moment? For me, it always turned into a permanent mishmash of off-the-edge-of-the-world-map land.

And #4: that's what I was thinking of. Why make a nice elegant patch or moving clipping rectangle if you can kludge? =P
