I know I asked for this five zillion years ago (read: like 10-11 years ago) and didn't get any takers. But we know a lot more about patching now than we did then - it sounds like this would just be a one-bytes patch.

Cool! Is the reason that the files are bigger for these demos than in Galaxy that all of the enemies' movements need to be stored? I recall that in Galaxy in demo recording mode, only Keen's movements are stored, and all the other sprites go into a special 'no-randomness' mode so the demos are repro...

I seem to recall that later versions of my Mindbelt level editor compresses the whole file - header + tile data + sprite data - as one contiguous thing, and keen can load the levels fine.

The thing in Keen 5 with the Korath III fuse could theoretically be used to create two very different endings, though in the game the destroyed-the-fuse ending is sort of a 'joke'/'easter egg' ending. ('Double parking'. What.) I'm envisioning some sort of Keen 5 mod where maybe getting to the Korath...
