It's used in Keen 4 at the end of Lifewater Oasis. A number of jawbreakers and Mimrocks are hidden below the screen. Also, in Keen 6, it's used at the beginning of the last level to hide the door to the secret area above.

Number 4 intrigues me very much. If it'd be possible to have 32 messages, I could definitely use that, as I'll have 32 levels as well.

The rest is very neat though, I really dig where this is going. :)

I've never played BM3, but is this a large level? No free spots in objarray usually means too many sprites. It seems unlikely that adding one sprite would crash the game but what do I know, it's possible.

"Scrolling" text in Keen 1 textboxes

Would it be possible to make the text in Yorp messages appear slowly character by character like the Vorticon endings or the Mangling Machine cutscene in Keen 3? I think it's a really neat effect and works much better with long pieces of text than if we had it appear all at once.

All the Keen games have "standardized versions" that are considered ideal for modding and thus have all the patches suited to them. For Vorticons, that would be 1.31, for Dreams it is 1.13, for Galaxy that's 1.4. Not sure why anybody would want to mod different versions, there are zero advantages to...

This would probably require something similar to V2 that also includes sprite graphics. Sounds like a pretty massive deal to me.

I ain't Lemm or Lass though, so I can't really tell. You'll want to hear from them on this matter.

This won't work sadly, I'm already using the $0AF2 space for the crawling patch. If you've still got my patchfile from when we were trying to sort out the V2 problem, that would do as a reference regarding what's used and what isn't.

Sorry to bother ya Lass, but would it be possible to make this 4 frames long? The last frame would be $1E (30). It's working splendidly right now but I need the last frame to fit in a proper animation.

I can definitely have an invisible animation, that's no problem. It'd be the second frozen-Keen frame. Another way to describe what I need is the death in Keen Dreams. I'd like Keen to go through his death1 -> death2 animation once (animating slowly, also just like enemy sprites), then freeze in the death2 frame (or even better - disappear after it) without flying up and off the screen.
