Re: Welcome to the migrated Keen: Modding forum!
Huh, that's what I'd vaguely remembered, but I got an email from namecheap telling me it was expiring. But I've just looked at the email again and it's addressed to you and cc'd to your email address, but sent to one of my email addresses! So I guess the only actual issue is my email address still b...

Re: Welcome to the migrated Keen: Modding forum!
DNS for keenmodding.org is due to expire end of January. I'm not going to re-register it, so I need to transfer it to someone if the domain name is gonna still continue to work.

Re: DEADLINE 1 JAN 2017
Tremendous thanks to Fleexy for picking up the torch and taking over the hosting of PCKF and Keen:Modding!

DEADLINE 1 JAN 2017
I have kept procrastinating this—both the decision and the action—so no longer. I will shut down the server that hosts PCKF and keen:modding by 1 January 2017. If no other hosting gets organised by then, I will make a full DB export of each site available to download somewhere (sanitized of password...

Apologies for the outage!
Sorry everyone! I messed up trying to transfer some domains around, then some other things went wrong, and it ended up that K:M was completely unavailable for a few days. Please accept my apologies!

Bean Coast?!?!?
I imagine you were surprised to try to get to K:M and get redirected to some bean coast site instead. No, this is not an attempt at subtle viral marketing on my part, I just screwed up the config when setting up that site. Sorry for the outage! If it gets messed up again, don’t hesitate to email m...

There are many, seemingly arbitrary limits in Keen 4-6, number of songs, number of levels, number of sounds, tiles, etc. Everything is preset and limited. Most of this is a side-effect of the way the game was put together. They had X number of songs for the game, so they put those into the data fil...

Combining a masked sprite with the background is actually two operations. The mask is first ANDed with the background; so where the mask is white (1) the resulting pixels will remain unchanged; and where the mask is black (0), the resulting pixels will be set to black. Then the sprite image is ORed;...

I have tested modkeen with Keen 4 (version 1.4); but in my version the filelength differs from the hard-coded value in keen456.c-file - I guess the offsets may differ, too. … Is there a chance to obtain the offsets dynamically? The sizes and offsets refer not to the file on disk, but to the image o...
