A range of options are available. One, you can run ModKeen through DOSBox (iirc). Two, you can pick up LModKeen, which has a 32-bit build that'll run natively. Three, you can use KeenGraph, which does work slightly differently but is still just fine for pretty much all purposes.

Y'know, I don't actually know, having never poked the code. I know I read it somewhere , but I'm basing it mostly on the telltale munching squares that showed up when I did some experiments with the effect (but those involved both V2 and palette patching, so their "real world" application ...

I suspect (could be wrong) that he wants the vortikid's movement behaviour changed, rather than its lethality. Presumably, it would "squish" you by stomping or some such, leaving you stunned as per usual vortikid behaviour. Probably best for szemi to clarify himself, though.

whattt, this is insane. V2's multiple tilesets always intrigued me for their potential to vastly expand artistic capacity in modding, and now this is just... god, I wish I wasn't so lazy. I'd love to push the limits of this stuff.

Hey! Always nice to see new faces in the Keen community. I don't think signatures are enabled on this board - this is the modding board, and exclusively that. For a more general community, you might want to head over to pckf.com, if you haven't already. Whatever you do, welcome, and enjoy your stay ...

re-mapped controls have been striking with alarming frequency these days. Try hitting the whatever-the-reassign-controls button is and working that out.
