What if these pirates (or whatever), like LA says, froze the Gnosticenes' city rather than blocking it off. That would mean Episode 2 would need rethinking. It's when you alternate between two colors to produce a third one. For example, you might use dark green and light green in a checkerboard pattern (each square would be one pixel) to get a medium green.

Make sure ck1patch is either in the same folder the batch file and Keen1 are in, or else put it in the path. Just out of curiosity, what are you running the file in? I've never seen that error message.

I haven't done much low-res cloud drawing, but I think that's about what you need to do. Distant backgrounds tend to look flat with no parallax effects. Not much you can do about that.

Hmm.. I side view world map. I like that, and the working your way up tho the higher area. How would we work the passage between them? Maybe a succession of smaller stones that wouldn't look too odd for keen to walk on?

I see the city as having a few large buildings, maybe a couple medium ones, and a bunch of small ones. I also see the large ones as interesting shapes, not just boxes. Straight sides and everything, but more than a rectangle.

I think we'd better. I'm not at all sure which ideas are the most popular.

I for one could use a little clarification, and we seem to be losing track of all the suggestions.

It's about time to make at least the basics of the plot concrete, in my opinion.

In the first mod Keen has to do some trading; those 4 things would be in my opinion very good for that.

In the mod 2 he has to active some stuff, those 8 things would be good for that.
I agree. Whatever it is Keen is activating could absorb the blast from the raygun and be powered by that.
