I agree. What did "CKludge" mean, anyway? Presumably it's a portmanteau of "CK" and "kludge" (meaning "a solution which is inelegant, inefficient, clumsy, or patched together, but succeeds in solving a specific problem or performing a particular task"). Also,...

zippified
I've set up a script that automatically zips up the patch index every hour or so, and saves the zipfile as http://levellord.toxicsheep.com/Index/Index.zip . The modification time of the zipfile is that of the most recently edited file, so you can look at its listing in http://levellord.toxicsheep.co...

I just rediscovered the code I was fiddling with to try and do this, and also learnt slightly more about C/C++ in the process. I'll have another go at creating an app that does seperate Carmackization. (I could also make a program that pretends to Carmackize the maps, which would be easier and might...

One of the things CKFS has that DOSClassic's system doesn't is that CKFS lets you hotlink images, so you can use it for avatars and sigs. It also lets you enable directory listings, so people can see all your files without them being mixed up with other people's stuff. Basically, the whole thing is ...

CKFS - file storage for the Keen community!
I did already post this on the PCKF, but I'll post it here again in case anyone missed it. I'm fed up with finding broken links to fan art and speedrun videos which point to free hosting sites, so I've decided to start one of my own in the hope that it might be more reliable. The Commander Keen File...

Just a brief message of support - I really like CKludge, and I think it gets in the user's way the least out of all the editors. Allowing both menu-based and keyboard-based controls makes for a nice smooth learning curve, and the fact that it's fast and doesn't eat up memory are added bonuses. Even ...

Open Office is superior to Microsoft Office because: It's free Its documents follow the OpenDocument format, which is a defined standard. This means that any word processor which supports OpenDocument files will load your document exactly as it was saved. (The same cannot be said for Word documents ...
