Malvineous is right, seems I haven't been paying attention to the command line.
You'll first type this in command:
| Code: | | cd desktop\Keen Modding\My Mod |
After pressing enter, you'll then type:
| Code: | | modkeen -episode=4 -export -bmpdir="graphics" |

You might also need to enclose the path in quotation marks if your path contains spaces.
e.g:
| Code: |
cd "desktop\Keen Modding\My Mod"

Have you tried Keengraph instead? http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3940020/KEENGRAPH.zip
It works similar to modkeen except if your unlzexe is working all you should need to do is move Kaangraph to the mod folder and run it. (It autodetects the episode and exports by default.) |

Sorry to be off-topic, but Levellass! You're back! We missed you tons.
Maybe you never left the pckf and just lurked around here while I wasn't looking, but gosh darn, there's so much modding stuff I wanted to talk to you about while you were gone. |

You most certainly can! The appearance of (nearly?) everything can be changed. But you have to be aware of the size constraints. I'm making a Keen 4 mod, and I just finished replacing all the candy with Keen-Dream fruit.
Be sure the download, play and extract plenty of mods to see what other people did, and get new ideas! ^^
Edit: I'm thinking of making a series of Video Tutorials that coincide with Ceilick's Keen Galaxy Mod. Videos might help speed up the learning process. Cheers! |

Make things bigger or smaller? What things? Do you mean sprites? You can make Schoolfish as big as a Dopefish. And you can reduce a Arachnut to the size of a Wormouth. All it takes is a little resizing from a program like Paint. But there are rules and restrictions as to how tall and wide a sprite can be. If you want to make a big creature, check the dimensions or the Dopefish or Berkeloid. There are tons of different bitmaps (in the graphics folder) that are all different in length and height. Let those be your guide to how wide or tall you make your sprites. Do you know what I mean? Argh... I really do have to make video tutorials--for my own sake, because I'm always afraid I'm not clear in my explanations.
Please keep up the good work! |
