Concept art by Scizor CT

I received a bunch of scans from Scizor CT (Sciz), who took part in this subforum's discussions a long time ago. Among them are four pieces of concept art he had posted here (2003) and there (2004). Don't know if someone saved the files, but as nothing has happened since more than two years, I think it can't hurt to bring some life to this place.

Anyway, what's the most recent publicly available build of the CKCM? The link in the KeenWiki article is as old as the hills (not to mention that the page was last edited in 2010).
By the way, the thread that lead to the CKCM was created by Commander Spleen on the 1st of September, 2003.

I still have access to all CKCM files on dropbox. There are folders there - in particular
Dropbox\CKCM\TESTMOD

That could be I guess the last "build". Files are mostly dated 2010, some - 2009.
I have no issue to upload it, if community agrees.

I'm very much interested in those concept art sketches. gonna rip every last graphic. should fit my forest theme quite well I think.

Thanks for the info. I found this file from August 2010 in the sprite thread. Maybe it is the version you are talking about? There is also an older one from 2009 with a level called Twilight Tree Village (Tulip's link still works).

The four sketches above are the only mod-related ones by Scizor CT. But a while ago I added concept art (and forest-themed screenshots) by Zorath.

While quite similar, this is not the dropbox version. Dropbox version has some differences and is according to dates - a bit more updated.
Also on dropbox - separate test versions by Tulip, Levelord, Mink Slug, Spleen and Lemm, all dated 2009.
Among other stuff.

...and why I'm the only source for this info? 14 Keeners have access to that same folder, including Dr. Kylstein, Fleexy, Levelass and others.

Ah, thanks.

I think this project might receive attention from potential new contributors if its latest version could be easily accessed. The aforementioned file was hidden in the depths of the CKCM forum (BTW, it was really fun to check out all those cool critters). What about a sticky topic or something for newcomers?
The KeenWiki page made by Mink was apparently intended to inform both members and the general public about the progress, but alas, it was not maintained after its creation.

If I'm not mistaken, Spleen is still the project leader?

Huh, been a while since I dropped in here.

Nice to see some activity and the old scans.

This project has been on my mind a bit over the past few years. I was thinking of hacking out some of the more complex parts of the storyline (such as the slugs vs licks quandary) and then taking a more abstract approach to level design while focusing on just a small segment of the map for a mini mod release. I think if we continue to tackle it as a whole with overly ambitious features it'll go another ten years without any real progress.
