Re: Keengraph and KeenGrout

nope, as far as I know KeenGrout only works with images that were extracted via modkeen.
but if you are looking for a grid solution to pixel and draw things I'd recommend using the option to display a grid in your graphics editor. Photoshop or GIMP for e.g. do come with a grid option.

Re: Keenball

oh boy, that's dope! formidable pinball technique. I love the crosshairs though I must admit that I need to get used to it. gonna dive deeper into this as soon as I get the chance. but from what I've seen/read this is once again an astonishing patch file. And here’s wishing you the very best for all...

Re: re: mindbelt cmd's

I figured out the cmd's and controls of "IKeen.exe" enough to make the mod's that I want to CMD Keen vs the voltrons level01.ck1. The help file for IKeen is of very little use in fig out the controls in the prog. I fig out copy a block and place the block by trial and error. I am still ha...

Re: re: mindbelt cmd's

I am trying to use Mindbelt again. it is asking for a file for CMD Keen, the file is "1til0000.bmp" I can't find the file and Mindbelt won't load any level without it. Also I can't get Midbelt to change the dir as to were the game is you need to either extract it yourself (via ModKeen for...

Those guys again, similar talk, different location (CCC). This time around someone in the audience already knew the answer to their rhetorical question... https://media.ccc.de/v/35c3-9462-what_the_fax#t=1260

Re: Levellass' Softdisk Library page helped hack fax machines

that's indeed interesting. can you share any further details?! did HP offer you a job?
and most importantly: will the new encryption code be in SGA?

Re: Catacomb 3D editing with Keengraph.. Help, please

hey there BlackLion and welcome to the forums, unfortunately I can't fix Keengraph's code, but I'd like to point you towards an alternative route. to bypass your issue you can go with modid v.0.1.2. this tool should be able to do the job. at least that's what the readme states: ModId now supports mo...

Re: CKPatch extended for other games: Released!

ah! finally I found the right place to post my request. @NY00123 I'd like to request a CKPatch update which is compatible with the demo versions of Keen 4 and 6. I've noticed that both games won't work with the standard CK4patch and CK6patch versions. As I'd like to tinker with both versions a bit ...

CKPatch and demo versions of Keen 4 / 6

I'd like to know if it is possible to edit the CKPATCH source code in a way that it works on the demo versions of Keen 4 and 6? As I understand it it should be straightforward to adapt CKPatch to work with both demo versions, once you know the offsets of all the items of interest in the game executa...

Keen 5 - Mod optimization (Dr. Colossus' Marooned on Mars)

I would like to optimize Dr. Colossus' mod Marooned on Mars a smidgen and hope for a fair bit of patching help/support. I really do hope that at least a couple of adjustments are realisable. here's my wish list: Yorps (Korath replacement) shall occasionally make small jumps while walking, as if they...

@Levellass can tell you more about the enemy patch concerning your second question we having two options to choose from: a) I could setup things for, simply hand me your latest version and I'll tweak some files for you. b) you want to learn how to do this yourself. choosing this path you gonna dive ...

Re: Levellass' Softdisk Library page helped hack fax machines

Great find! Who would have thought that Lemm's & Lass' reverse engineering skills will help security researchers to 'fix faxes'. BTW very interesting DEF CON talk about fax exploitation. watched the whole video and ask myself when I last used a fax machine... '96/'97, maybe? Dunno. Have you been...

Re: Keen 4-5: help menu thing

@Levellass: the Keen engines are full of surprises, aren't they? I also figured out that scrolling option just a couple of month ago. But I was pretty certain that I must have been the only person who missed it.
