You must only use the original 16 colors. If you're using Paint, use the color picker tool to steal the color from somewhere else in the picture.

Can't help you fix it, but here's an idea - how about setting the boss' walking speed to higher than Keen's, therefore forcing the player to drop bombs (mines) at the correct times before escaping? Would involve a lot of movement and it could be a very interesting final fight. Definitely more fun th...

That could work too, but you'd have to edit the walking sprites. On the other hand, it could make for some free patch space and frames.

You don't need a patch for this, just don't place the other 2 items or their respective obstacles in the game.
