and PS i should maybe contact the dude who made Keen:next and ask what the deal is with that bug. but then again TOM has an option to import keen:next files anyway, so i should just use that probly. Z-1 hasn't been around in ... forever, I don't think -- I wouldn't even know how to go about getting...

Oh good! -- I was debating on whether to send you a pm over on That Other Forum but figured you'd already seen this. Also: If you're using lemm's amazing v2 tileset patch, you don't have to worry about using the rewritten drawing routine since the latter is incorporated into the former. And awesome ...

Hopefully these'll still be of some use despite how long it's been since your request: # call ctspace when you hit the battery %patch $4452 $E8 $C95BW $90 $90 $90 # enable god mode if you have the joystick when you enter a level # the very end of the level init function was moved so we can add stuff...
Lemm always recommends The Art of Assembly , which I've found to be wonderfully informative. There's also the complete instruction set reference which also contains the opcode maps, which are useful. IDA is freeware nowadays, and it's served me well. As for an assembler, I've had good results with t...

I'm seeing a few problems with your proposed idea: A) How many people are going to use this? It's just as easy to use the old patch index and maybe even easier to use the new one integrated into the Keenwiki. The important thing is that the more complex lemm-patches find their way to the wiki (and y...

Press the [z] key to undo and the [y] key to redo. If you right-click on an empty space while you have the foreground and/or info planes active, you'll grab a $0000 tile which you can then place over any other tiles to 'delete' them - note that they're not being deleted so much as just overwritten b...

Yep, I'll agree with Draik on this (unbiasedly, of course ;-p). Be sure to grab it from http://0x27.com/downloads/tom.zip since the link in the tutorial is out of date. If you have trouble, chances are your problem may already have been addressed in TOM's own thread , but if not I'll be happy to hel...

Hi there, glad to see you're jumping right into Galaxy modding. The first place to start is Ceilick's comprehensive tutorial . And if you're looking for some inspiration, check out the entirety of the Galaxy mods so far , almost all of them are worth a play. If you still have any question after that...

BMPatch (and every other -Patch) can now do relative patches, just like CKPatch! http://www.0x27.com/downloads/ckpatch-0.11.0.zip Note that this doesn't yet incorporate NY's improvements - I'll be adding those in a little while (Yeah, I know it would involve close to zero actual work on my part, jus...

Carsten: Press spacebar to bring up the tile palette and then use [1] [2] [3] to navigate between the back-/foreground/info planes, respectively. What type of error do you get with the help file? It works fine for me on 64-bit Windows 7. If worst comes to worst I'll just upload a regular html readme...

Adurdin explained the mechanics of doors and platforms along with pretty much everything else in an old article: http://www.bipship.com/#articles/changing It was written with TED5 in mind, but practically all of his advice is still relevant since TOM is very similar.

You probably couldn't open your original gamemaps.ck4 because the unmodded game doesn't come with an external maphead file that TOM needs to read the levels - it is originally in the executable but is extracted so we don't actually have to modify the exe. The RF_CheckForAnimTile problem is the resul...
