It's just because they share the same base engine, mostly, except for a few tweaks and addons.

It's basically how programs which lack an external I/O manager work. They have to do all by themselves. Although this is mostly based on my researches about the way NTLDR (Windows NT/2K/XP/2K3 loader) works, it seems to apply to DOS as well, the only difference being that NTLDR works on 32-bit prote...

It's not a mistake, per se; it's a different method of achieving results. At the very least, SM, you can explain in more detail how to do the changes in the method you prefer; I recall having no end of difficulty trying to find an ANSI editor that would actually interpret the screens. [...] It real...

No, levels that don't have an entry text and title can't be played via TEDLEVEL, as the engine always tried to show those texts at level start and would crash in such case. They can be warped to via Recording A Demo, though, as that skips parsing the entry text and shows "DEMO" instead in a message ...

As I said, there's no pressing need as long as you just want extra background tiles, but I'll see if I can do something. Forgot to mention: aside from modifying the load address, it might require to make Keen allocate some extra space of memory, and copy, say, TILESET.TLI file there. About the othe...

Quite wrong. You pasted raw data and it was mangled and converted to ASCII. Not good. Won't work.

Well, the main problem you'll encounter is that new tiles will have no tile information for them, they'll all be do nothing, be nothing, et cetera. This part of the problem will be very difficult to solve as it would involve expanding the tileinfo space. And that would involve CK Guy's extending Ck...

Hello, it's me again. I was just wondering whether it is possible for EModKeen to import more than the usual number of tiles into Keen? It seems that at present it simply uses the 'default' amount of bitmap, ignoring anything that comes after that, but it appears extra tiles can be inserted into Ke...

ShadowMaster - you were supposed to say "This is god ." Oh well. You caught the reference over at teh pckf, I don't know why you didn't get it here ... Ah yes. This is god. I just forgot that. This is actually not exactly what the original program did, but I did test out the changes and they work. ...

I guess I'll have fun figuring out how to translate that Euphoria code to standard C++. EDIT: It isn't di...

I can't believe KE (KeenEmpire) didn't notice it... (the existence of K:M) It's quite silent, but that's because it is not a chat place a...
