Have you tried changing the graphics in 4TIL-8-UNAMSKED.BMP? (These are the ones that contain the 'PRESS ANY KEY' graphics for the status window.)

Aaah nice, strangely enough I patched warp tiles into a mod of mine a month ago (For something similar, they let the player return to the left of the level for another challenge.) I expect to have a whole host of tile-related patches to share with everyone soon so this is a very welcome thing to see...

The patch overwrites the 'start in level x' test patch since a lot of 'permanent' patches will ignore testing stuff. Do you get a message when the game crashes? For example if the message is 'String exceeds width!' then it means one of the lines of your wetsuit message is too long.
